The Senate Council stands as the supreme legislative and policy-making authority of EKSUMSA, serving as the guardian of order, accountability, and constitutional integrity within the Association. It not only enacts binding policies but also ensures that every activity of the Association reflects its founding objectives and guiding principles. The Council exercises oversight functions, ratifies executive and committee appointments, deliberates on constitutional matters, and receives periodic reports from various organs, committees, and clubs. By functioning as the voice of reason and custodian of structure, the Senate Council safeguards EKSUMSA’s democratic ideals and guarantees that governance within the Association remains transparent, participatory, and accountable.

The Electoral Committee (ELCOM) is the pillar of democracy within EKSUMSA. Tasked with the exclusive responsibility of overseeing and conducting all forms of elections—including Executive, Senate, class, and organ-level contests—the committee operates with full autonomy and independence. Its work is guided by the principles of neutrality, transparency, and fairness, thereby ensuring that the will of the students is genuinely expressed and respected. Through meticulous planning, credible electoral processes, and the adoption of best democratic practices, ELCOM not only upholds the legitimacy of leadership transitions but also strengthens the trust and unity of the Association.

The EKSUMSA Health Awareness Club (EHAC) serves as the health advocacy and community outreach arm of the Association. Beyond the walls of the College of Medicine, EHAC extends EKSUMSA’s impact to communities across Ekiti State and beyond. Through public health campaigns, medical outreaches, awareness walks, and collaborative projects with governmental and non-governmental health bodies, the club drives meaningful conversations on preventive healthcare, wellness, and public health challenges. EHAC embodies EKSUMSA’s social responsibility mandate, ensuring that its members are not only medical students in training but also active contributors to the health of society at large.

The MEDIZINE News Agency is the communication and media powerhouse of EKSUMSA. Responsible for publishing Medizine—the official magazine of the Association—it documents and disseminates the intellectual, cultural, and professional spirit of medical students. In addition, the agency manages EKSUMSA’s official information board and digital media platforms, serving as the bridge between the Association and the wider student community. Working closely with the Public Relations Officer and the Central Executive Council, MEDIZINE ensures that news, achievements, and opportunities are not only communicated effectively but also curated in ways that amplify the voice and visibility of EKSUMSA at local and national levels.

The Hostel Executive Committee is the custodian of students’ welfare within the clinical hostels. Entrusted with the responsibility of managing hostel dues, overseeing facilities, and liaising with hostel authorities, the committee ensures that medical students enjoy a safe, organized, and conducive living environment—a critical support system for the demanding lifestyle of medical training. Beyond administration, the committee also fosters a sense of community, addresses students’ concerns, and promotes welfare-driven initiatives that enhance academic productivity, personal well-being, and social harmony within the hostels.
